Pantograph

A pantograph (or "pan") is an apparatus mounted on the roof of electric railway vehicles to collect power through contact with an overhead catenary wire.
Other than the manufacturing of pantograph systems, Contact also provides engineering and design services for these components.
Over the years, the company has consolidated its leadership in this business sector, investing greatly in R&D of such systems to provide innovative solutions in order to improve the performance while reducing their life-cycle costs of these systems.
Significant milestone:
Complete fleet upgrade of the Frecciarossa to 3kV with constant push and diagnostics systems technology for 50 trainsets of the ETR1000.
